    About the Role

We're a Y Combinator–backed startup building developer infrastructure for healthcare workflow automation — helping healthcare organizations and AI automation companies reliably navigate payer portals and EHR systems where traditional APIs don't exist. We're a small, high-velocity team (3–5 people) and we're now hiring our first dedicated business hire.

As Founding Operator, you'll work directly with the CEO to build and scale every non-engineering function of the company — from sales and recruiting to customer success, marketing, and events. This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who thrives on ownership, context-switching, and building things from scratch in a fast-moving environment.

    What You'll Do

    • Sales & Pipeline: Research prospects, run outbound sequences, book discovery calls, and support full deal cycles with healthcare AI companies and enterprise revenue cycle management (RCM) firms.

    • Recruiting: Source candidates, manage hiring pipelines, coordinate interviews, and help close new hires across technical and business roles.

    • Events & Community: Plan and execute networking dinners, meetups, and other events within the SF healthcare AI ecosystem; represent the company at industry conferences.

    • Marketing & Content: Shape positioning, draft outbound messaging, manage social media presence, and help produce content targeted at healthcare operators and buyers.

    • Customer Success: Act as first-line support — triage customer issues, escalate to engineering when needed, and ensure customers feel well taken care of.

    • Operations: Manage vendors and internal tooling, maintain process documentation, and keep the business running smoothly as we scale.

    What We're Looking For

    Required:

    • 1–4 years of experience in a high-performance environment — startups, consulting, banking, or similar — with a track record of high output and end-to-end ownership.

    • Hands-on experience with outbound sales: researching prospects, running outreach sequences, booking discovery calls, and supporting deal cycles (ideally in healthcare AI or enterprise RCM contexts).

    • Experience sourcing candidates, managing interview pipelines, coordinating interviews, and helping close hires.

    • Comfort managing vendors, maintaining internal tooling, and documenting processes.

    • Strong stakeholder communication skills — able to build rapport with C-suite executives, investors, and engineers alike.

    • Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate; must be eligible to work in the US (visa sponsorship is not available).

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience in healthcare, health tech, or selling to healthcare buyers; exposure to revenue cycle management or healthcare operations.

    • Prior seed- or Series A-stage startup experience.

    • Technical background or comfort with developer tools — able to speak the language of engineers.

    • Familiarity with outbound sales platforms such as Apollo or Clay.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary: $125,000 – $175,000 USD annually, depending on experience.

    • Early-stage equity commensurate with a founding-team business hire.

    • In-person role in San Francisco, CA.

    Location

This is a fully on-site role in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be based in SF or willing to relocate. Visa sponsorship is not available.
