About the Role
This Account Executive role sits at the center of a fast-growing, profitable company in the founder advisory and executive coaching space. You will own the full revenue cycle, sourcing and closing high-value engagements with venture-backed founders at the Series A through C stage, while actively helping shape the GTM motion of a small, high-performance team.
The right person here is a relentless, consultative closer who has sold complex, intangible services or solutions with ACVs of $50,000 or more to C-suite or founder-level buyers. You are comfortable with big personalities, fluent in the language of operators and executives, and energized by building rather than following a playbook. If you have thrived on a lean team with no SDR safety net, you will feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, pitch, and close coaching engagements with an average ACV in the $80,000 range, targeting Series A through C founders backed by top-tier venture firms
- Manage the full sales cycle independently, from prospecting through contract execution, without relying on heavy process support or SDR pipeline
- Serve as a trusted advisor to founder clients throughout the engagement, deepening relationships well beyond the close
- Network with and recruit seasoned operators and ex-founders as coaches, which requires holding your own in conversations with strong, high-achieving personalities
- Partner directly with senior leadership to drive toward ambitious ARR targets, contributing pipeline strategy and market feedback in real time
- Identify gaps in the GTM motion and take initiative to build or refine processes, messaging, and outreach playbooks
- Take on expanded responsibilities as the business scales, acting as a core contributor to commercial strategy, not just a quota carrier
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 to 8 years of full-cycle AE experience, including sourcing, pitching, and closing deals with ACVs of $50,000 or more
- Demonstrated track record closing complex, intangible, or consultative engagements, such as enterprise AI, executive coaching, consulting, or professional services, not transactional or pre-packaged SaaS
- Experience selling directly to C-suite or founder-level buyers, not primarily to directors or mid-level managers
- Hyper-competitive, assertive, and comfortable pushing back on and earning credibility with strong founder or CEO personalities
- Proven ability to generate and close pipeline independently, without SDR support or rigid process guardrails
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Brooklyn, NY; role is 5 days per week on-site with no exceptions
- Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship (US citizen or Green Card holder)
Preferred Skills
- Experience selling to or working closely with venture-backed founders or CEOs at Series A through C companies
- Background at a high-growth startup with fewer than 50 employees
- Has contributed to building an early-stage GTM motion from the ground up
- Consistently ranked as a top one or two rep by quota attainment
- Familiarity with the founder and executive ICP, able to speak credibly about company building, fundraising, and scaling challenges
