A foundation and drilling contractor near Elk River, MN is seeking an experienced Foundation Drill Rig Operator to operate specialized drilling equipment on foundation and deep foundation construction projects.
This is a hands-on field role requiring real drill rig experience, strong safety practices, and mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate foundation drill rigs (e.g., auger, caisson, or piling rigs) on active construction sites
- Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on drilling equipment in the field
- Follow all job site safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Work closely with crew members and site supervisors to meet project schedules and specifications
- Maintain accurate logs of drilling operations and equipment condition
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience operating foundation drill rigs (auger, caisson, or similar deep foundation equipment) — general construction or general equipment operation experience does not meet this requirement
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Demonstrated commitment to job site safety and reliability
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
