What we're looking for An engineer who wants to be in the room with the customer. Forward Deployed Engineers sit between our platform and the enterprises running on it: banks, payments processors, insurers, and collection agencies. You'll scope the problem with the customer, build the agent, connect it to their systems, and stay with it through go-live and beyond. The job has two halves. The first is deployment: getting agents live inside a customer's environment, wired into their systems of record. The second is building AI functionality on top of what the platform ships with, the custom tools, retrieval, and logic a specific customer needs and nobody has built yet. That second half is why this is a hands-on engineering role, not a solutions-consulting one. You'll write real code, own real integrations, and debug real production traffic. It suits someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, moves fast, and would rather ship something working in a customer's environment than write a spec about it. Responsibilities Embed with enterprise customers to design and build agents for servicing, onboarding and KYC, collections, payments, and fraud Build custom AI functionality on top of the platform: tools the agent can call, retrieval over customer knowledge, and logic specific to their operation Connect Moveo to customer systems of record over MCP and REST: Salesforce, SAP, Genesys, Five9, Twilio, ServiceNow, Dynamics Design and debug RESTful APIs and implement custom functionality inside the Moveo.AI platform to meet complex customer requirements Build deterministic workflows and guardrails in TruePath for the steps that must never be improvised: identity, payments, eligibility Own agents through go-live: red-team readiness, latency and accuracy tuning, evaluation, and debugging live traffic Provide technical consulting, training, and enablement to customer teams, and serve as their day-to-day technical contact Translate ambiguous business requirements into agent design, and push back when the requirement is wrong Feed what you learn in the field back into the product, so the next deployment is faster than the last Qualifications Must have Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience 3+ years of software engineering experience, with strong production coding in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and hands-on experience implementing web services Hands-on experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) Hands-on experience with LLM tool calling / function calling in production Working knowledge of how agents and LLMs actually behave: tokenization and context limits, tool calling, RAG and retrieval quality, hallucination and how to catch it, evaluation Real experience building and debugging integrations against systems you do not control, over APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers, including in rooms where you are the only engineer Able to operate with incomplete requirements and drive to a working solution Fluent written and spoken English Willingness to travel to customer sites Nice to have (we really mean it) Experience building, debugging, and evaluating voice agents: turn-taking, barge-in and interruption handling, endpointing, ASR and TTS latency, and the quality tradeoffs between them Fine-tuning, prompt optimization, or building evaluation harnesses and tracing/observability for LLM applications Comfort with cloud platforms and DevOps practices: containerization, CI/CD, monitoring A data-driven approach to refining deployments, including A/B testing and performance monitoring Background in banking, payments, insurance, or collections Exposure to regulated environments: TCPA, Regulation F, FDCPA, HIPAA, SOC 2 Contact center or telephony platforms (Genesys, Five9, Twilio, Zendesk) Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese, for our LATAM customers Benefits Competitive salary package and bonus scheme Learning budget for ongoing education A buddy to support you through onboarding Clear career paths and growth opportunities Direct ownership of deployments at Fortune 500 scale, with a short path from what you learn to what we build About Us Moveo is the agentic platform that turns every customer interaction into an outcome, with its own memory, its own guardrails, its own models and its own execution layer, running for regulated enterprises on three continents. We process 4.5 billion tokens a day across 400+ AI agents in production, with customers in 85 countries and 29 languages. Enterprises like Fiserv, Alpha Bank and Betano run millions of interactions a month with us across servicing, onboarding and KYC, collections, payments, and fraud, with one living memory per customer that drives the next best action long after each conversation ends. The planner and the guardrails run on private small language models we fine-tune ourselves: sub-second on voice, a fraction of frontier cost, and deployable inside a customer's own tenant. Our agents are red-teamed by our customers before go-live. We are SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, and a featured Google Cloud partner. Our teams are in New York, São Paulo, and Athens.
