Triumphant Nerd is searching for Forward Deployed Engineers to build and deploy mission-critical national security software for our client.
We're looking for patriotic engineers with 4–6 years of experience who enjoy writing production code, working directly with operators, and solving real-world defense challenges. You'll own deployments from initial pilots through production, translating mission requirements into software deployed inside government environments.
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or forward deployed roles within government or DoD environments
- Strong backend engineering, coding, and algorithms fundamentals, with Python preferred
- Experience deploying production software inside government or DoD IT environments
- Ability to work directly with operators, intelligence analysts, and government mission teams
- Confidence owning technical projects from requirements through deployment with minimal oversight
- Familiarity with React, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS S3, RMF, IdAM, SIEM, or cross-domain solutions is a plus
- U.S. citizenship and active TS clearance with SCI eligibility preferred; clearance-eligible candidates may be considered
- Willingness to travel 30–40% within the U.S. to classified or operational customer sites
- Compensation: Up to $220K base salary, plus full benefits, perks, and strong equity
