Palantir Foundry & AIP
Our client is an AI-enabled, human-powered digital services company built for mortgage, insurance, and financial services. We meet clients where they are, tackle the toughest industry challenges, and build solutions that hold up in production environments where the stakes are real. Our partnership with Palantir brings Foundry and AIP to clients who need to move from AI experimentation to operational reality.
We have served clients across the full mortgage lifecycle; from origination through capital markets and are now expanding that same depth into insurance and broader financial services. We RAISE the bar every day: Results, Accountability, Innovation, Service, Excellence.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are building the Forward Deployment Engineer team. These are the engineers who take the customers platform out of the demo and into production at financial institutions. This is not a traditional software engineering role, and it is not consulting, though it borrows from both.
As an FDE, you will be embedded directly with our clients. You will learn how they operate, work inside their data, navigate their technical and regulatory constraints, and build solutions on Palantir Foundry that change how their business runs. Your work will span architecture decisions, large-scale data wrangling, building custom applications, engaging with customer executives, and establishing strategy for your team sometimes all in the same day.
The client relationship is central to everything you do. You are the engineer the client works with day to day, and your ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and show up with solutions, not just code. is what makes deployments succeed. We expect you to own outcomes, not tasks. What you discover in the field will shape what we build next.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Technical Delivery & Platform Engineering- Work in small, agile teams and own end-to-end execution of high-stakes deployments on Palantir Foundry from initial scoping through go-live, stabilization, and handoff.
- Run technical discovery with client teams, mapping data sources, existing workflows, integration points, and the constraints that matter in a regulated financial services environment.
- Architect and build production-ready data pipelines, ontology structures, and workflow applications configured to each client's specific environment within Foundry.
- Develop custom applications tailored to customer needs, building directly in Foundry's Workshop and Pipeline Builder not just configuring templates.
- Wrangle large, complex, often messy datasets: cleaning, transforming, integrating, and making them usable inside Palantir's ontology layer.
- Collaborate with fellow engineers on architecture and design decisions, code reviews, and deployability optimization for production systems.
- Leverage AI capabilities within Palantir's platform including AIP where they naturally accelerate and enhance client operations, with a working understanding of how AI tooling integrates into Foundry workflows.
Client Engagement & Relationship- Engage directly with customer stakeholders at every level from data engineers and operations teams to executive sponsors as the technical point of contact for your engagements.
- Lead status updates, architecture reviews, and risk conversations, translating technical realities into language that drives client decisions.
- Train client staff to operate, maintain, and expand the workflows and applications you build, ensuring they can succeed independently after handoff.
- Represent our customer on-site at client locations with the credibility and presence of an engineer who has done the work, not just advised on it.
- Surface client insights, blockers, and emerging needs proactively communicating clearly with both clients and internal teams throughout the engagement.
Product Feedback & Field Intelligence- Bring structured field intelligence back to the customers product and engineering teams what clients need, what is not working, and what patterns repeat across engagements.
- Identify solutions built for a specific customer that could become productized accelerators or reusable components across the platform.
- Contribute to internal playbooks, deployment frameworks, and onboarding materials for the growing FDE team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required- 3 or more years of software engineering experience in production environments, ideally in a client-facing or field-deployment capacity.
- Strong Python with a focus on data engineering and API integration the primary technical language of this role.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for data discovery, transformation, pipeline development, and production debugging.
- Hands-on experience deploying software in cloud environments on AWS or Azure.
- A highly analytical approach to problem-solving: comfortable working with large-scale, complex data and translating it into operational solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients or end users to scope, build, and deliver technical solutions in production.
- Clear, adaptable communication equally effective with data engineers and non-technical executives in the same engagement.
- Comfort operating independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where requirements are discovered in the field rather than defined upfront.
- Genuine customer orientation: you measure success by whether the client's operations changed, not whether the sprint closed.
Preferred- Experience with Palantir Foundry, AIP, or similar enterprise data platforms will accelerate your impact from day one.
- Background in financial services, mortgage, insurance, or any regulated industry knowledge of how these businesses actually operate and what their data looks like.
- Working familiarity with AI and ML concepts including LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows sufficient to understand how AI integrates into Foundry pipelines and advise clients on where it applies.
- Prior experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Implementation Engineering, or a similar client-facing technical role.
- Understanding of compliance and security frameworks relevant to regulated industries (SOC 2, HIPAA, state financial regulations).
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive base salary with performance-based bonuses tied to client deployment outcomes.
- Travel premium and a premium travel experience for client site work, running at approximately 25 to 40 percent of your time.
- Full access to Palantir Foundry training, certification resources, and AIPCon participation.
- A defined career path: Associate FDE? FDE? Senior FDE? Principal FDE, with advancement tied to client outcomes and technical depth.
- Direct influence on the clients product roadmap based on what you learn and bring back from the field.
- Join as a founding team member helping define how AI gets deployed in financial services the playbook is yours to help write.
- The Client's Academy: comprehensive onboarding covering mortgage lifecycle, insurance operations, Palantir platform, and client engagement frameworks.
- Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
