Client Overview:
Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company in the Boston area with a strong commitment to science, innovation, and developing high-quality medicines. They are looking to add a Formulation Scientist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40/hr - $50/hr

Position Overview:
The Formulation Scientist will support solid oral dosage development in a Quality by Design (QbD) environment. The Formulation Scientist will work hands-on across lab and clinical manufacturing scale, turning materials and process data into robust formulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Formulation Scientist who works well independently and wants to deepen their experience in pharmaceutical formulation and process development.

Responsibilities of the Formulation Scientist:

• Perform blending, granulation, and compression for solid oral dosage forms.
• Support formulation and process development from lab scale through clinical manufacturing scale.
• Conduct material characterization to inform formulation and process decisions.
• Perform basic statistical and data analysis on experimental results.
• Maintain GMP documentation and ensure compliance.

Required Experience/Skills for the Formulation Scientist:

• Hands-on solid oral dosage formulation and/or process development experience.
• Experience with blending, granulation, and compression.
• Material characterization experience.
• GMP documentation and compliance experience.
• Strong math and statistics skills.
• Ability to work fairly independently.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Formulation Scientist:

• Experience in a pharmaceutical formulation/process development team, CDMO, or materials characterization lab.
• Experience working in a QbD environment.
• Lab and clinical manufacturing scale experience.

Education Requirements:

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or a related physical science with 0 - 3 years of experience is required, OR
• Bachelor's degree in one of the above fields with 5+ years of relevant industry experience is required.
