Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Formulation/Application Technical Assistant to join the Semiconductor Technologies Lithography Group in Marlborough, MA.
In this role, you will support the development of next-generation spin-on photolithography materials for semiconductor applications. You will collaborate closely with R&D materials teams, formulation scientists, development engineers, and commercial teams to develop and commercialize industry-leading photolithography materials that drive innovation and business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Perform theoretical and experimental scientific and technological investigations directed toward the acquisition of new knowledge.
  • Conduct analytical, experimental, investigative, and fact-finding work to support scientific research initiatives.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation of observations, analyses, and interpretations, including technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
  • Identify, assess, and develop new scientific concepts and technologies in both basic and applied research with potential business impact.
  • Document research findings that contribute to patent disclosures and technical advancements.
  • Establish a fundamental understanding of structure-property-function relationships in new materials and formulations to accelerate innovation and product development.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive new product development from concept validation through scale-up and commercialization.
  • Utilize analytical and functional testing procedures to identify, characterize, and overcome material development challenges.
  • Support root cause investigations (RCI) to resolve critical technical issues within accelerated development timelines.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Proven track record of safe laboratory practices and adherence to laboratory protocols.
  • Experience in materials science, chemical synthesis, formulations, or product development.
  • Experience in photolithography, photo-patterning, or semiconductor fabrication laboratories is preferred.
  • Knowledge of computational modeling, calculations, and data management tools is a plus.
