Forklift Operator - Weekly Pay

Atlantic Staffing Consultants seeks sit-down forklift/clamp truck operators. For the right candidate, this is a temp-to-hire job opportunity.

Atlantic Staffing Consultants pays weekly!

Hours of the Forklift Operator:
Monday - Thursday 7 AM - 5:30 PM - 4/10s (3-day weekends)
30-minute unpaid lunch
2 - 10 minute paid breaks (AM & PM)
$16.00 an hour to start w/$1 raise when you go full time.
Some Fridays & Saturdays may be required, but overtime is included.

• Complete the forklift certification process
• Operate forklift with care and with awareness of surrounding people and the environment
• Ensure the forklift is stored correctly, fueled, cleaned, maintained, and ready to operate
• Perform routine maintenance on forklift as needed
• Follow and update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks
• Move inventory and materials to proper locations throughout the facility
• Stack and organize large bulk items
• Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations
• Make note and request any damaged parts or replacements needed
• Submit inventory records and log them at the close of the day
• Follow instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties
• Must become familiar with and adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations
• Follow all forklift health and safety procedures and regulations as established by OSHA and any other governing bodies
• Work on the production line as needed when not operating the forklift

Requirements of the Forklift Operator:

• Must possess a certified forklift operator's license by
  OSHA standards. Must be physically and mentally capable of operating a forklift/clamp truck safely and proficiently. Driving skills and abilities will be assessed after an on-the-job trial period.
• Pass a written Forklift Exam
• Pass a Drug Screen
• Minimum high school education or GED with appropriate work experience operating a forklift/clamp truck.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work at a pace required to meet deadlines
• Ability to adapt to changes or modifications in the way work is done
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
• Must be conscientious and pay attention to detail
• Availability to work required shifts and hours
