POSITION SUMMARY

Matthews International is seeking a qualified Hi Lo Driver for our Stamping Facility. This position is responsible for moving material, parts and product throughout the facility using forklift truck in a safe and efficient manner to maintain proper flow of materials through the production process according to production standards and schedules.

Competitive Hourly Pay rate of $18-hourly plus full benefits starting day one which includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Saving Account (FSA), short and long term disability (after 90 days), life insurance, earned time off (starts accruing immediately), 401(k) retirement plan with company match and employee stock purchase plan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates Hi Lo safely in accordance with company and OSHA safety rules.
  • Follows position Job Safety Analysis (JSA); wears required personal protective equipment.
  • Assists with press efficiency by ensuring materials and finished products are moved in a timely manner based on production schedules.
  • Cross trains on other positions within the plant as needed.
  • Conducts operator level preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment according to preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of previous experience with a Hi Lo.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • 3+ years of previous experience preferred.
  • Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
