Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dependable and hardworking Forklift/Material Handler in Palmdale, FL. In this hands-on and fast-paced role, you’ll be responsible for safely moving materials throughout the facility while performing pallet rework and maintaining safe, stable product loads. In a Forklift/Material Handler job you’ll be responsible for:

? Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
? Move, stage, stack, and store inventory and product pallets throughout the facility
? Perform hands-on rework of damaged or broken product pallets
? Manually swap out broken pallets and ensure products are properly positioned
? Replace damaged product bags or boxes as needed
? Restack products to maintain stable and secure loads
? Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
? Perform additional material handling duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

? Ability to safely operate a forklift and material handling equipment
? Ability to perform heavy manual lifting and physical labor
? Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive material handling tasks
? Ability to manually swap pallets and restack heavy product bags/boxes
? Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment
? Strong attention to safety and load stability
? Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
