Forklift Operator – Loose Material Handling
Location: Jasper, TN
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to join a busy industrial yard in Jasper, TN. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable working outdoors and have experience handling large, heavy, or loose materials in a fast-paced environment.The Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving steel pipe and other materials throughout the yard while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift in an outdoor industrial yard environment.
- Move, transport, stack, and organize steel pipe and loose materials throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks and transfer materials to designated staging areas.
- Navigate forklifts over dirt, gravel, and uneven terrain with care and precision.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient yard layout.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report any operational concerns.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
- Support other yard operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience is required.
- Experience handling long, heavy, or loose materials is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable operating equipment on rough terrain and uneven surfaces.
- Prior experience in steel manufacturing, warehousing, construction, or industrial environments is a plus.
- Strong attention to safety and a dependable work ethic.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
