Description for Forklift Operator:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport heavy metal materials through the facility.
- Maintain structured product inventory counts in the warehouse, ensuring absolute organization and accessibility.
- Manage incoming freight profiles at the receiving bay cleanly according to manifest directions.
- Utilize calipers, tape measures, and micrometers to execute technical quality checks on metal dimensions.
- Follow all facility safety procedures, execute vehicle inspection logs, and wear required PPE daily.
Details for Forklift Operator:
- Pay Rate: $22.00 / hour.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM (10-hour shifts with great overtime pay).
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire.
Requirements for Forklift Operator:
- Minimum of 1+ years of verifiable experience safely operating forklifts within an active industrial setting.
- Prior background working in a steel distribution center, manufacturing plant, or heavy warehouse preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency reading measuring tools accurately down to fractions and decimals (micrometers/calipers).
- Basic computer literacy with the proven capability to navigate inventory tracking and ERP systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably.
- Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and a safety-first work ethic.
