The Forklift Operator operates a manually controlled gasoline, electric, or liquid propane powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds within a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other establishment.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Forklift operator is responsible for keeping the forklift in good working condition by performing daily PMCS (Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services).
- Ensures inspections are conducted and discrepancies are corrected when possible or turned in to maintenance for repair.
- Loading and Off-loading Tricons, Quadcons, ISUs, pallets and other equipment onto tractor trailers.
- Attends training as required.
- Perform other Container Management duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Forklift certification
- The ability to work overtime as required.
- High School/GED. Requires one year experience.
