Forklift Operator

The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store raw materials, finished products, and supplies throughout the manufacturing facility. This position plays a key role in supporting production operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Chatsworth Manufacturer is looking for Forklift Operator.

Needs to be able to operate a sit-down forklift.

All shifts available:

1st: 6am to 2:30pm

2nd: 2:30pm to 11pm

Temp - Hire

Be able to lift up to 50lbs.

1st shift: 6am to 2:30pm plus OT on Saturdays

Job Summary

The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store raw materials, finished products, and supplies throughout the manufacturing facility. This position plays a key role in supporting production operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload raw materials, finished goods, and shipments from trucks and containers.
• Verify quantities and inspect materials for damage upon receipt and shipment.
• Stack and store materials in designated locations according to company procedures.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
• Knowledge of material handling, inventory control, and warehouse procedures.
