Experienced Forklift Operator in Lehigh Valley
Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, stack, load, and unload products within a warehouse, distribution center, or production facility. This role ensures materials are handled efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping locations.
- Inspect forklifts before and after use and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Accurately track inventory movements and complete required documentation.
- Stack and organize products according to company procedures.
- Follow warehouse safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse housekeeping duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet productivity goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documents.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in warehouse environments with varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment throughout the workday.
Compensation:
$19- $22- depending on shift
