Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial trucks to transport, load, unload, and stack materials throughout our facility. A successful candidate prioritizes workplace safety, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and works efficiently to keep inventory moving smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Handling: Safely load, unload, move, and stack products, equipment, and materials using powered industrial trucks (sit-down, stand-up, or reach trucks).

  • Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming/outgoing freight for damage or discrepancies, verifying manifest or order accuracy.

  • Inventory & Staging: Transport raw materials to production lines and staged finished goods in designated storage or shipping areas.

  • Safety & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-operation equipment inspections (checking fluids, tires, controls, and safety devices); report mechanical issues immediately.

  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.

  • System Logging: Utilize handheld scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements accurately.



Qualifications & Skills

  • Certification: Active Forklift Operator Certification required (or ability to pass company certification upon hire).

  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit/stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures (e.g., standard warehouse, cold storage).

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with RF scanners and basic inventory management systems.

  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, excellent spatial awareness, and a team-first attitude.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specialized attachments (e.g., clamp trucks, order pickers, or reach trucks).

  • Prior experience with warehouse safety committees or OSHA training.
