Job Description:
Partners Personnel is seeking a reliable and experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator for an Import/Export company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in operating a sit-down forklift, hold a valid forklift certification, and have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and move products within the warehouse and shipping areas.
- Perform inventory management tasks, including counting and scanning materials as they are moved throughout the warehouse.
- Ensure goods are properly stored in designated locations, ensuring they are secure and organized.
- Inspect the forklift daily to ensure it is in good working condition; report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Assist in the preparation of shipments, ensuring that all products are ready and in good condition for export.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving of goods.
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Must hold a valid forklift certification.
- Ability to lift heavy items, sometimes up to 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse operations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the import/export industry.
- Knowledge of inventory management software and scanning systems.
