When the lights are up on third shift in our Hatboro, PA corrugated box facility, you start by walking your forklift. You complete and document the pre-operation inspection form, note anything that needs attention, and hand maintenance work orders to your supervisor so repairs can be addressed promptly. With your truck cleared, you stage the plant for success—locating stock before the next run and positioning materials so each machine receives the right sheets and rolls safely and on time.
As lines get moving, you remove finished goods from machines and build neat, stable stacks in designated storage areas. You keep every movement traceable—paperwork is accurate and on time, locations are updated in the computer, and all units are scanned so inventory always reflects reality. You help the team run at full potential by operating equipment at available capacity and speed, and by following the daily production schedule while suggesting smart adjustments to improve cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Throughout the shift you pitch in with other forklift operators, uphold company policies, prioritize safety and housekeeping, and, if you’re on that rotation, assist with Friday night cleanup. Other tasks may be assigned as production needs evolve.
You can expect regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and frequent wet/humid conditions. At times, you may encounter high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level is usually loud.
