LINK Staffing is hiring a Forklift Electrical Service & Training Specialist for a full-time technical service role supporting electric forklift equipment nationwide. This position is a strong fit for someone with hands-on electric forklift, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or electrical systems experience who can troubleshoot complex issues, support field repairs, and train dealer service technicians.

This role requires extensive travel across the United States. Candidates must be comfortable traveling frequently, working with dealers and customers, and providing both hands-on technical support and clear training in the field.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems on electric forklifts and related equipment

  • Support field service repairs at dealer and customer locations

  • Troubleshoot controllers, motors, sensors, contactors, wiring, displays, CAN communication systems, batteries, chargers, and related components

  • Use multimeters, diagnostic tools, battery testers, service software, and related equipment

  • Assist dealer technicians with difficult repairs and hard-to-diagnose service issues

  • Provide remote technical support by phone, email, video call, and other communication methods

  • Conduct hands-on technical training for dealer service technicians throughout the United States

  • Train technicians on electrical systems, battery systems, charging systems, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and service procedures

  • Develop and update training materials, presentations, troubleshooting guides, service procedures, and technical documentation

  • Document service visits, troubleshooting steps, repairs, parts used, and recurring technical issues

  • Travel regularly for dealer training, field service, technical support, product testing, and company meetings

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience servicing electric forklifts, industrial equipment, heavy equipment, or similar electrical systems

  • Strong experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Proficient using multimeters and electrical diagnostic equipment

  • Familiarity with controllers, motors, sensors, contactors, CAN communication, displays, wiring systems, battery systems, and charging systems

  • Experience with lithium-ion battery systems strongly preferred

  • Forklift service experience with major forklift brands preferred

  • Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting experience is a plus

  • Able to explain technical information clearly to service technicians

  • Strong presentation, training, and communication skills

  • Able to develop technical training materials and documentation

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple technical service requests

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around heavy equipment

  • Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the United States

Travel Requirements

  • Frequent nationwide travel is required

  • Travel may include multiple trips per month, overnight stays, and occasional weekend travel

  • Must be comfortable with air travel and driving to dealer or customer locations

  • Regular travel to the Houston / Brookshire, TX area is required for meetings, training, product testing, troubleshooting, and technical collaboration
