Job Title: Sit-Down Forklift Operator
Location: Protein Distribution Center
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Overtime: Must be open to overtime and weekend work
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team at a fast-paced protein distribution center. This role is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move, load, and unload product while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in a cold storage environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trucks with protein products
- Move materials throughout the warehouse and storage areas
- Stack, stage, and organize pallets accurately
- Assist with inventory control and product rotation
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment (food/protein preferred)
- Must be able to work in cold storage conditions
- Steel toe boots required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Open availability for overtime and weekends
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced protein distribution center
- Cold environment (refrigerated/freezer areas)
- Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, and movement throughout shift
You should be proficient in:
- Food and Beverage Manufacturing
- Warehouse Experience
- Forklift Licensed
- High School / GED
