Job Title: Fork Lift OperatorLocation: Corunna and Owosso, MichiganHours: Day shift/6-2:30 and Second Shift 1:30-10:00Pay: $17 an hour

Are you reliable, safety-focused, and ready to make an impact?We are currently seeking dedicated Fork-Lift Operators to load and unload inbound and outbound dry van trailers in a safe and efficient manner, with our client in Corunna and Owosso. This is a fast- paced environment that is NOT climate controlled, occasional weekend or holiday work may be required,  If this sounds like you, apply now! Responsibilities:
  1. Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers using fork trucks, or other equipment.  
  2. Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
  3. Attach identifying tags to freight or mark them with identifying information.
  4. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  5. Stack freight in locations, using fork trucks, or other equipment.
  6. Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets, work tickets, and warehouse management software.
  7. Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  8. Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
  9. Wash out cargo containers and storage areas.
  10. Bundle and band material, using banding machines.
  11. Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, to unload, transport, or stack material.
  12. Move controls to drive gasoline-powered trucks or tractors to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
  13. Mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, and shipping containers.
  14. Inspect freight for accuracy, and damage, and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  15. Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags, labels, and in the warehouse management software.
  16. Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
  17. Other duties may be assigned.
 Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 1-3 years of solid experience in a warehouse or shipping and receiving role.
  3. OSHA- Forklift Certified preferred.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  5. Must be able to work in environment that can be dirty and has no temperature control in summer or winter.
  6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
