Title: Forklift Operator
Payrate: $18.75/H on W2
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Location: Jefferson, GA, 30549
 
Description -
  • Drives forklift, or other common warehouse equipment to transport materials from one location to another.
  • Require a specialized license. May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks. Duties may include loading/unloading at point of origin/destination and require execution of applicable paperwork and administrative duties associated with shipment.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities -
  • Support the picking/packing, loading/unloading and general warehousing duties
  • Understand method of locating materials
  • Read a packing list and follow defined shipping/receiving protocols
  • Record turnback’s
  • Process rework work orders/purchase orders
  • Perform and reconcile cycle counts, relentless root cause analysis
  • Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies and maintain departmental quality standards
  • Execute JDE transactions relative to your area of responsibility
Education and Experience -
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified PIV Driver preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Experience in a high volume, high complexity, distribution environment preferred
  • Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds.*
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Perform 5S
  • Other duties as assigned
