Description:
- Drives forklift, or other common warehouse equipment to transport materials from one location to another.
- Require a specialized license.
- May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks.
- Duties may include loading/unloading at point of origin/destination and require execution of applicable paperwork and administrative duties associated with shipment.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused PIV Operator to join our Materials team.
- This role is critical to supporting production lines and ensuring material flow throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs), including forklifts, tuggers, order pickers, and reach trucks.
- Use PC handheld scanners to complete material movement and job tasks.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and production lines.
- Transport pallets, components, and finished goods to designated locations.
- Support production lines with material movement aligned to production needs.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions using scanners or required documentation.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety standards.
- Assist with general warehouse or production tasks as needed.
- Work may involve rotating between PIV and non-PIV assignments based on operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior PIV experience preferred (training available for candidates with relevant warehouse or material handling experience).
- Ability to lift upto 35 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.
- Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude.
EDUCATION:
- HS Diploma/GED
