Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Procurement Forester to support our chip mill in Elba, AL! The position will be based in South Alabama in the area where the Elba chip mill is located and will report to the Wood & Fiber Supply Group Manager at Brewton pulp mill.
This position will be responsible for working with suppliers, loggers, and landowners to acquire Hardwood for Elba chip mill, with additional responsibilities supporting nearby Georgia-Pacific operations. This position also coordinates with chip mill operations and logistics teams to manage receiving and shipping of fiber products.
Our Team
Georgia-Pacific's Wood and Fiber Supply (W&FS) organization ensures that the company's mills have a reliable supply of logs, wood fiber, and chips to sustain its tissue, packaging, paper, and building products manufacturing operations. W&FS operates in approximately 15 U.S. states and sources its wood from private lands owned by industrial, institutional, and individual landowners.
