Reporting to Dr. Elisabeth Buck, Associate Professor of English and Director of Fordham's Writing Center, undergraduate writing tutors assist students across campus via individual appointments at the Rose Hill and/or Lincoln Center Writing locations. Undergraduate writing tutors collaborate with students to provide feedback on all stages of the writing process, including brainstorming, revising, proofreading, and idea development.

This position is based at the Rose Hill Campus

Essential Functions

Meets with writers in 45-minute appointment blocks at the Rose Hill location of the Writing Center

Collaborates with fellow staff members to develop campus-wide writing support initiatives, including developing workshops for the campus community

Participates in outreach initiatives, including facilitating informational presentations about the Writing Center

Develops on-going training and professional development materials

Attends monthly staff meetings
