Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Footwear Product Test Engineer II with strong problem-solving skills, results orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks. This is an on-site position at WHQ (M-F, 8 AM 5 PM).
Must-Haves:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and/or equipment design.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with universal test machines for products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with product and materials testing.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience testing footwear or apparel in a lab setting.
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD.
  • Independent, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Occasional travel availability (up to 5%).
Not a Fit If You Are:
  • A BioMechanist focused on people testing.
  • A software engineer (this is not a coding role).
What You Will Do:
  • Perform standard materials and mechanical tests.
  • Review and analyze data to ensure product quality.
  • Write detailed reports and communicate findings to teams.
  • Assist senior engineers on testing-related projects.
  • Train others in your area of expertise.
  • Suggest improvements to testing protocols and equipment for accuracy and efficiency.
Work Environment:
  • Join a lab team of 15 members (5 dedicated to this project).
  • Hands-off management style with focus on independence.
  • Collaborate with product creation teams to ensure high-quality footwear.
