Job Title: Footwear Materials Designer 2
Location: Beaverton, OR
Salary Range: $45-50

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, art, or related field; or 2 years’ additional experience crafting innovative products in lieu of a degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
  • 5 years’ experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products.
  • Passion for Design.
  • Knowledge of form, color, materials, human factors, trend, related to elevating the consumer experience.
  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
  • Fearless calculated risk-taker.
  • Experience in technical footwear or apparel design.
  • Experience building 3D samples and crafting mockup samples by hand.
  • Ability to present new insights or seasonal concepts to small and large groups.
  • Proficient in creating and editing files using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop skills.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

  • Experience working with sustainable footwear material design.
  • Strong narrative and emotive storytelling skills.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design partners in product design, color design, and graphic design.
  • Work cross-functionally with technical and material development partners, product management, and merchandising teams.
  • Focus on elevating the consumer experience by creating performance and trend-relevant materials.
