Job Summary
Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach supports the implementation of the athletic program by assisting with instruction, supervision, and operations. The Assistant Coach plays a critical role in ensuring student safety, program compliance, and a positive athletic experience. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must meet all requirements under California Code of Regulations, Title 5, 5593. 2. Must be knowledgeable and competent in the areas of: a. Care and prevention of athletic injuries, basic first aid and emergency procedures; b. Coaching techniques; c. Rules and regulations in the athletic activity being coached; and d. Child and adolescent psychology, appropriate to the age and development level of participating students. 3. Prior coaching experience required; head coaching experience preferred.
