Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Food Truck Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, takes pride in food quality, and works well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies before service.
  • Ensure food is prepared accurately, efficiently, and consistently during service.
  • Monitor food quality and notify management of any product concerns.

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout each shift.
  • Follow all opening, closing, and side work procedures.
  • Assist with daily prep work, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and stocking ingredients.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Food Safety & Sanitation

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Properly label, store, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and handling practices.
  • Keep equipment, utensils, and work areas clean and sanitized at all times.

Teamwork & Efficiency

  • Work collaboratively with cashiers, kitchen staff, and management to provide an excellent guest experience.
  • Assist teammates as needed during busy service periods.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency while ensuring food quality and accuracy.
  • Be flexible and willing to perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous line cook, prep cook, restaurant, or food service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food truck, quick-service, or high-volume kitchen experience.
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience working with flat-top grills, fryers, and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
