Food Service Worker

Pay Range: $22/hr - $23/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing, portioning, serving, and delivering meals
• Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, mixing, grating, and assembling food items
• Follow standardized recipes, supervisor instructions, and proper food-handling guidelines
• Store and inventory food, supplies, and materials in accordance with Department and State regulations
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances, and work areas
• Wash dishes, trays, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment
• Operate various commercial kitchen equipment, including Stand mixers, Tilt braisers, Tilt steam kettles, Electric slicers, Steam cabinets, Industrial dishwashers, Ovens
• May operate a cash register and handle/count payments
• Read, interpret, and complete documents such as medical dietary orders, meal count forms, and logs
• May assist with transportation and delivery of food during emergencies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience in food preparation and food service
• Some higher-level food service experience preferred
• Must be able to read and write English
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
