    Role Description The Food Service Worker is a full-time, on-site role located in Reading, MA, supporting daily meal service for students and staff. Responsibilities include preparing and portioning food items according to menus and standardized recipes, setting up serving lines, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and cafeteria areas. The role involves serving food in a courteous and efficient manner, assisting with cashless or cash-based meal transactions, and restocking supplies as needed.     Qualifications

    • Ability to perform food preparation tasks, including basic cooking, portioning, and assembling meals with attention to quality and consistency.

    • Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting and stand for extended periods.

    • Basic math and cash-handling or point-of-sale skills, as required by the specific school cafeteria operations.

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in school food service or institutional food operations is an asset.
