Food Service Worker

Under the direction of a Cook, Head Cook, Food Service Supervisor, or other supervisor, assists with food preparation and service activities. May assist in leading a group of food service workers and performs other related duties as required.

Responsibilities
Assist with general kitchen, cafeteria, dining room, and food service activities.
Serve special diets according to prescribed portions and dietary guidelines.
Prepare vegetables, fruits, and other food items for cooking or serving.
Assist with various phases of food preparation and cooking.
Assist with cutting meat and baking.
Maintain clean, safe, and orderly kitchen and food service areas.
Clean refrigerators and other food service areas.
Assist with serving food from steam tables and other equipment.
Prepare and arrange food trays.
Deliver or monitor the delivery of prepared meals.
Assist with food service in dining rooms and designated areas.
Set tables and change linens as needed.
Count and maintain dishes, linens, and silverware.
Wash and polish kitchen equipment, including ranges, roasters, broilers, and other appliances.
Prepare meal trays and set tables.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
