Position Overview

Aramark is currently hiring Food Service Workers for an ongoing temp-to-hire opportunity at UI Health. This role primarily supports hospital food service operations by delivering meal trays to patient rooms and assisting with patient meal service.

Position Details

• Position: Food Service Worker
• Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
• Schedule: Friday – Tuesday
• Shift Time: 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM
• Start Date: ASAP
• Openings: 2
• Assignment Type: Ongoing / Temp-to-Hire

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver meal trays to patient rooms in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with patient meal service and cafeteria support as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift
• Follow hospital safety and sanitation guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff

Requirements

• Reliable and detail-oriented
• Able to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous hospital or food service experience preferred but not required

Uniform Requirements

• Black slacks
• Black shoes
• Black polo

Parking & Transportation

• Employee parking available:
  • $15/day during weekdays
  • $9/day on weekends
• Street parking may be available at a lower cost
• Public transportation is recommended

Check-In Instructions

Upon arrival:

1. Report to the front desk for a temporary pass
2. Bring a valid ID
3. Call 312-996-3657 and ask for Eluid
4. Eluid will escort you upon arrival

Onboarding Requirements

Candidates must complete:

• Full background check
• 9-panel drug screening

Required Immunizations

• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• Varicella
• Hepatitis B
• Flu Shot
• TB Test (PPD, Chest X-ray, or QuantiFERON-TB Gold)

Required Documentation

Candidates must sign:

• Page 51 – "DCFS – Acknowledgement of Mandated Reporter Status"
• Page 53 – "Acknowledgement of Orientation Completion"
• Waiver and Release
• Confidentiality Agreement
