SUMMARY

Responsible for setting up tray line and serving meals to patients. Must maintain equipment and sanitation standards for DHEC regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Portions, serves and replenishes freshfood itemsfor patients.

Sets up/refills beveragestation. Keep condiment bins stocked and cleaned at all times.

Keeps floors clear of food particles. Cleans all stations/areas in the kitchen. Cleans empyies lowerators and delay carts

Checks to ensure that all food/utensils etc.are available on patient serving line.

Arrange items on patient trays for neatness, accuracy and attractiveness.

Moves the lines (dish room and tray line) speedily without harassing or rushing the other employees.

After meals, return food items to proper place in the kitchen. Cover, date and mark items that are put in cooler.

Turns on/off and/or checks steam table for proper temperature and cleanliness after each meal.

Ensures that food carts/juice orders are delivered/retrieved to units in a quiet and timely fashion and nursing is notified.

QUALIFICATIONS:

HS Diploma or GED equivalent required; requisite experience in similar role will be considered in lieu of educationwhenappropriate.

Ability to understand and carry out both written and oral instructions.

Requires two (2) to three (3) weeks on the job training to become proficient in job responsibilities.
