Food Service Supervisor
Position Reports to: Vice President of Food Service
Supervisory Responsibilities: Food Service Staff
POSITION SUMMARY & OBJECTIVES:
The Food Service Supervisor oversees the daily operations of Glenwood Academys Food Service program, ensuring quality meals are prepared and served to students, staff, and guests in a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. The Supervisor ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state food service, nutrition, and sanitation requirements and maintains a clean, safe, and inspection-ready food service environment. The position provides leadership and direction to Food Service staff and student workers and supports the overall operation of the food service program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure milk, condiments, and other meal service items are adequately stocked and readily available for each meal.
Monitor the safety, sanitation, and health conditions of assigned areas and address concerns promptly.
Assist with planning and executing special campus-wide events and other food service activities as assigned.

School Cafeteria/Dining Hall Environment, Moderate Noise. Work shifts often include early mornings, late afternoon.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands of this position include occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 25 pounds. The position may also require climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, as well as frequent standing, walking, and sitting. The position requires the ability to perform tasks involving handling, speaking, writing, hearing, and fine finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
