Nature of Work

The West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility is seeking a dedicated, responsible individual to serve as a Food Service Supervisor in our long-term care facility in Clarksburg, West Virginia. We are committed to providing exceptional, high-quality care to our veterans, honoring those who have served our country. In this leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day operations, lead the dietary department, and support a team focused on operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of food service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. This includes overseeing proper food handling, storage, equipment cleanliness, and maintaining accurate temperature logs.

  • Operational Oversight: Monitor inventory levels, address operational challenges as they arise, and maintain organized documentation.

  • Clinical Collaboration: Attend care plan meetings and complete the dietary portion of MDS assessments.

  • Professional Development: Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certification: Must be a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certified by the Board of Dietary Managers.

  • Experience: Minimum of two years experience in large scale food preparation and service.
