Food Service Substitute Workers (2026-2027 school year)

• Substitute Cafeteria Workers needed for the 2026-2027 School Year

Start/end times vary by building - Typically would sub 3.75 hours unless a 7-hour person is needed

• Assist with lunch meal preparation (including sandwich making & bagging, cupping fruit, salad and veggies)
• Set up and serve lunch meal
• Break down and clean up serving lines and work areas
• Restock serving lines (condiments, milk, fruit, veggies, etc.)
• Wash dishes (trays, pots, pans, etc.)
• Sweep and mop floors
• Put away stock and non-food supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of Safe Food handling and kitchen sanitation
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be able to work as a team
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be customer service oriented
• HS diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. repetitiously
• Must be able to read and perform mathematical equations
• BCI/FBI Background Clearance

Starting Pay: $13.00/hr.
