    Major Responsibilities:

    • To be part of a team that provides a quality food service program
    • Performs assigned tasks in designated areas
    • Reports to the kitchen manager or team leader
    • Follows all sanitation and health codes governing food preparation and personal appearance
    • Works with hot ovens, sharp tools, slippery floors, and some heavy lifting
    • Requires general knowledge of food and nutrition
    • Other duties as may be assigned

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Previous food service or catering experience is a plus
    • Ability to operate and care for institutional/industrial equipment
    • Ability to drive and deliver food
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Must be detail-oriented and keep accurate records as directed
    • Possess good judgment
    • Requires working independently and as a team
    • Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position

    Physical Requirements:

    • Moves and lifts equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Moves throughout the school kitchen to prepare food and perform other duties.
    • Must be able to push and pull carts
