Join Our Team as a Service Technician
Smith-Boughan Mechanical, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Food Service Repair Technician/HVACR Technician to join our growing service team in Lima, OH.
This is an opportunity to work on Food Service Equipment/HVACR in restaurant environments. If you’re a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and working independently in the field, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain ice makers, fryers, grills, ovens, etc…
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC units and walk in’s
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues
- Perform preventive maintenanceand system inspections
- Work directly with customers to understand needs and deliver solutions
- Complete service documentation and communicate findings clearly
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of Food Service and/or HVACR experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Work Environment
- Service area typically within approximately a 60-mile radius of Lima, OH
- Primarily local work – minimal overnight travel
- Restaurant and Convenience store environments
