    Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking a Food Service Aide Expediter to join our Food Service Team.

    The Food Service Aide Expediter is responsible for various duties related to the AM Expediter area; tray line setup; tracking product rotation; oversees staff in absence of manager and coordinator.

    Responsibilities of this position include: 

    • Opens AM Expediter area and sets up for day.
    • Responsible for keeping track of and checking food rotation and dates of product, temperatures of coolers, freezers and product.
    • Completes Daily Totals sheets.
    • Responsible for trayline setup and setting up trays for patients according to diets and ticket selections.
    • Completes daily and weekly cleaning tasks and other cleaning projects as assigned.
    • Restocks food, soda, supplements for next shift.
    • Answers telephone and responds to requests from different interdisciplinary teams.
    • Able to perform takes for Food Service Aide position.
    • Adheres to established food standards and department policies and procedures
    • Assures substandard quality food is brought to the attention of management.

    Requirements of this position include:

    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    • Food Service experience in a healthcare setting preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service
    • Fast & adaptive problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to cope with stress and criticism
    • Ability to react in a calm, non-defensive, professional manner, in any circumstance
    • Ability to self-motivate, work independently and function productively as a team member
