HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSIONThe Food Server performs a variety of moderately difficult duties in greeting and taking orders from restaurant guests, serving guests, keeping assigned tables and areas clean and orderly. This position reports to the Lead Food Server, Manager and Supervisor.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Welcomes and greets guestsTakes and serves food and beverages orders tablesidePrepares certain menu items including salads, appetizers, and dessertsAdvises customers' regarding menu itemsMake Customer Service a top priorityPolitely and professionally answers guests' questions regarding the Zoo or Safari ParkProfessionally handle difficult situations with employees and guestsKeeps assigned areas clean, orderly and in a safe conditionAssists new personnel as neededAssists (Lead, Cooks, Manager and Supervisor) as neededAssists with special events when neededCompliance with the SDZWA and Health Departments uniform standardsMaintains a passing grade on the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health Food Handlers examsMaintains a passing grade on the Environmental Health Department testsAdheres to all SDZWA and department policies and practicesPerforms related duties and responsibilities as required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORThe ideal candidate will obtain an RBS Certification and Food Handler's Card within 30 days of starting the position.
JOB EXPERIENCE
At least one year of full service or fine dining restaurant experience.
