    Position Title:
    Food Safety Technician

    Position Summary:
    The Food Safety Tech will be responsible for the day-to-day product testing, monitoring, and reporting. 

    Schedule:

    2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00PM - 1:00AM

    Overtime: As needed

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Check product quality to make sure it meets USDA, FDA, ODA, and company regulations.
    • Testing of package and processed products according to USDA, FDA, ODA and Company regulations.
    • Moisture, color, fat, salt, weight and organoleptic testing.
    • Verification of time and temperatures, packaging seals, packaging code dates.
    • Environmental monitoring and cleaning checks.
    • Monitoring for GMP compliance.
    • Monitoring / testing of ingredients from receiving to shipping.
    • Lab equipment start up and checks.
    • Utilize the hold system.
    • Complete documentation as needed.
    • Reporting any damaged equipment.
    • Fast paced, team-oriented work environment.
    • Factory/warehouse setting.
    • Associates are expected to be here every day they are scheduled be on time and stay for their entire shift.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
    • Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours/day
    • Must be able to work minimum of 40hrs/week
    • Must be able to work weekends when needed
