Overview:
The Pictsweet Company is looking for a Food Safety Technician to join our vegetable processing facility in Bells, TN. This role's shift time is 4PM-2AM, some weekends required.

Responsibilities:
- Perform metal detector checks for functionality
- Monitor and record foreign material findings from assigned lines.
- Learn how to react to “non-standard” situations.
- Perform Sanitation Pre-op Inspections (ATP / Allergen / Other Swabs).
- Perform GMP Inspections during production.
- Communicate all pertinent information to direct supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Experience in food quality control or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and statistical analysis preferred.
Cognitive & Psychological:
- Must be able to read and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations including fractions and decimals.
Physical:
- Must be able to work in cold (35-40 degrees) or hot environment for extended period.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.
- Able to use both hands.
Other:
- Must be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays).
