Tin Roost in North Liberty is looking for part-time Food Runners to join our Front of House team!
We're looking for dependable, energetic team members who enjoy staying active, working alongside others, and providing great guest service. As a Food Runner, you'll help connect the kitchen and dining room by delivering food, supporting the service team, and keeping things running smoothly during busy shifts.
Tin Roost is a locally owned restaurant serving American favorites made in our scratch kitchen. With a spacious dining room, large outdoor patio, and welcoming atmosphere, we're a busy restaurant where teamwork and great service make all the difference.
Fully trained Food Runners earn $8.10 per hour plus tips. Tips are distributed the following morning.

Responsibilities
- Deliver food to tables promptly and accurately while ensuring proper presentation
- Communicate with kitchen and service staff to keep orders moving efficiently
- Clear, clean, and reset tables for incoming guests
- Assist servers and other team members during busy periods
- Keep dining areas, service stations, and restrooms clean and organized
- Greet guests and provide friendly, helpful service
- Support the host stand with seating guests and distributing menus
- Help maintain the waitlist and communicate estimated wait times
- Assist with table assignments and guest seating flow
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and takeout orders as needed
- Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable standing, walking, and staying active throughout a shift
- Friendly, dependable, and able to communicate effectively
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to help wherever needed
- Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is helpful
