The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Assist servers by ensuring that all orders are complete and presented beautifully.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, addressing any needs or concerns promptly.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring quality standards are met.
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous banquet or hotel experience is advantageous but not required.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of cooking techniques is beneficial.
