Food Production Supervisor

POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for the coordination of various manufacturing and warehouse functions within a single large, complex and fast paced production facility to drive maximum financial results and deliver a quality on-time product for customers. Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.

Food Production Supervisor

• 1st Shift 6: 00 AM to 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift 2:00 PM to10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Associates may be required to work weekends, potentially at least one day each weekend.

Note: MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States. 

POSITION PURPOSE:

• Responsible for the coordination of various manufacturing and warehouse functions within a single large, complex and fast paced production facility to drive maximum financial results and deliver a quality on-time product for customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, monitor, and ensure timely completion of plant goals/action plans, both short and long term.
• Utilize new technology and lean manufacturing principals and processes available to maximize efficiency.
• Promote development of cost saving initiatives.
• Develop a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety.
• Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with Safeway, Federal and State guidelines Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, Etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 or more years of leadership experience in a production environment
• 1 of more years’ experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Prior Food Production Experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce
• Ability to manage and develop employees
• Availability – willingness to work hours and holidays
• Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,  PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
