This facility produces high-volume, flavorful food products and sauces and is looking for dependable operators who understand the demands of a fast-paced food production environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and monitoring production equipment in a food manufacturing or high-volume production environment. Food Production Machine Operator Compensation and Hours:
- Location: Nashville, TN
- Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift
- Pay: $23 +
- Position Type: Temp-to-Hire with Full-Time Opportunities
- Overtime: Plenty of overtime opportunities available
Food Production Machine Operator Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous food manufacturing or food production experience strongly preferred
- Previous machine operation experience required or highly preferred
- Experience operating production, packaging, filling, processing, or similar machinery
- Experience working with sauces, prepared foods, seasonings, or other food products is a plus
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and make appropriate decisions during production
- Basic math skills with the ability to accurately measure, count, calculate quantities, and follow production specifications
- Ability to recognize equipment issues and make basic adjustments or notify maintenance as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to follow GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
Food Production Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and assist with the setup of food production machinery
- Make basic machine adjustments to maintain proper production flow
- Monitor equipment throughout the production process and identify issues
- Use critical thinking to troubleshoot production issues and determine appropriate adjustments
- Load raw materials and remove finished products from machinery
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Package, label, stack, and palletize finished products
- Follow established production rates, procedures, and specifications
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Perform equipment cleaning and sanitation according to food safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
- Assist with other production duties as needed
Food Safety & Facility Requirements
- GMP guidelines must be followed at all times
- No jewelry or fingernail polish permitted
- Hairnets and beard nets are required
- Hats may not be worn over hairnets
- Slip-resistant, steel-toed shoes are required
