Title: Food Distribution Coordinator Reports to: Development and Community Outreach Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for complete logistics support of mobile food distribution. Assisting the Development Department and the company in its efforts to increase food security in the communities Central Florida Health Care serves.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer at least 2 years’ experience in community engagement.
- 2 years’ experience working in volunteer engagement.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills. Detail-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and work deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple volunteers in an outdoor working environment.
- Flex time as needed to accommodate evening hours and occasional weekend responsibilities
- Clean driving record.
- Bi-lingual/Spanish or Creole speaking preferred but not required.
RESPONSIBILTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following: - Responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of the food distribution program at CFHC.
- Collaborate with Chief Development Officer and Development and Community Outreach Supervisor on the management of each food distribution location to include oversight of +/- 15 volunteers per site.
- Responsible for training volunteers and developing appropriate culture of volunteerism at each location to include recruitment of additional volunteers as needed.
- Track data applicable to reporting needs as set forth by grant requirements.
- Engage community partners, documenting engagement activities including memorandum of understanding (MOU) and additional paperwork necessities.
- Coordinating program equipment and supply needs daily.
- Identify and participate in outreach opportunities as needed.
- Work with the Development team to deliver appropriate and timely materials.
- Conducts, reviews, analyzes and reports all data.
- Responsible for maintaining the food distribution van as needed.
- Position may require event coverage and driving of a small mobile unit as needed.
- Help as needed with office tasks assigned by supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Standing/walking/sitting for long periods
- Ability to lift 30-40 lbs. independently
- Independently mobile
- Ability to adapt and function in varying environments of workload, worksites and work shifts.
- Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
