The Highlands at Harbor Springs is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused team members to join our Food Market crew! In this role, you will assist guests with placing food orders, selecting items from our Grab-and-Go coolers, and ordering pizzas from Champions Pizza. We are looking for dependable team members who enjoy working with people and creating a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Primary Responsibilities (60-80% of time)
- Answer phones to take pizza orders
- Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them.
- Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques.
- Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other available products.
- Communicate orders to cooks
- Enter orders into the Point-of-Sale system
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all products and services.
- Always aim to create a positive customer experience.
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
- Receive and process customer payments.
- Balancing cash drawers and making daily deposits.
Secondary Responsibilities (20-40% of time)
- Stock, rotate, and store products correctly.
- Working with team members to maintain a clean, tidy work environment.
- Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the daily checklist.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience.
Strong cash-handling and basic menu knowledge.
Ability to use POS systems and demonstrate proper phone etiquette.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for 6-8 hours per shift.
Ability to frequently bend and lift, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
